Learning New Things that can earn you some Cash

Throughout my first year in the University, I searched for something I could be doing to earn me some cash, that is working while schooling, so that I do not completely depend on my family for everything I need. I know some of you are in or have been in the situation whereby you feel reluctant to tell you parents or sponsor that your tooth paste is finished, your rubbing or or hair oil is finished. You have even been on the part where you do not use deodorants because you can ask your parents for money to buy them. Such a life is way to bad for any one who have been there. You will have to understand that life is not a bed of roses. You just need to have your head focused towards your goals in life and never let anything make you loose your focus in life.

I know you might have seen almost everything I want to put up now, but don’t be in a haste to leave this page without reading through the notes. I believe, there is something different with this one which you will findout.

Okay, enough with the conscience talks. Let’s dive into our business of the day.

The world is so advanced these days that just having a computer and being connected to the internet, you can learn what so ever you what for free. YouTube is filled with so many videos that can teach you new skills and you can as well have hands on exercises to practice these skills.

Some of such skills which I would be talking about are Graphic designing, Web design and development (through learning coding for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc) as well as blogging.

Graphic Designing

This has to deal with the art and skill of combining text and images in advertisements, books or magazines. One of the easiest software to use is Adobe Photoshop of which I prefer Adobe Photoshop CS6. There a lot of videos online you can learn from. To spice up your skills in graphic design, I recommend you add up passion, analytical skills and creativity. Always take out time to imagine something that blends passion, analytical skills and creativity. This will go a long way to increase the amount of cash entering your pocket.

Web Design and Development

Without going to detail on web design, I will say that web design has to do with designing the pages of a website. When you visit a particular web page, sometimes or always, you admire the way the characters are displayed, the colourful nature of the images and or the way the page is being animated. All of this have to deal with writing of codes for HTML, CSS, JavaScript and or PHP, etc. Sincerely speaking, it entails learning some odd-combining words and symbols called tags, but believe me, the end products make sense. The world is becoming digital and digital marketing is stealing the show nowadays as it turn out to be less expensive to advertise online and to bring more traffic easily and faster. Also, many businesses today want to digitalise themselves to be more professional. So, learning these codes and being good at them will mean a great deal in your pocket as a youth.

Data Analysis

Some people find it interesting to learn certain statistical softwares like SPSS, Epi info, Minitab, Python and R. These softwares can be used to analyse statistical data for final year students. You can learn these skills online through online tutorials from youtube and other many websites that you can Google Search. The only thing I recommend before exploring these softwares is to have a good theoretical knowledge about the various statistical test so as to know which to apply for a particular research.

In conclusion, we have a big admostphere around us to make money especially as youths particularly Cameroon youths. We just need to be focus and be able to identify such opportunities and maximize them. On a personal scale, I have used these means and there is a lot of what I have learnt that is not even related to my field of study in school. I must bring your attention here that school teach you the tools you need in life, while in the real world out there, we apply these tools. Some people excel because they learn these tools and apply them appropriately. Discover yourself and find where you fit in before it is too late for you.
